Susan Doyle is a painter and printmaker whose art includes both design and fine art. Currently Doyle is working on a series of small landscapes that capture the everyday beauty of Block Island as well as prints that elliptically allude to the foibles of contemporary politics and culture.
Doyle holds a dual MFA in painting and printmaking, and a BFA in Illustration from RISD, and is a professor Emeritus there. She was editor of the landmark publication History of Illustration (Fairchild Books-Bloomsbury, 2018).
