Claire Marschak to exhibit oil paintings titled “SKY + SURF + EARTH” at the Spring Street Gallery August 17th -30th.

This is Claire’s first solo show at the gallery and she is excited to share new works exploring the basic elements of clouds, water, and land. While attending a workshop in Farnese, Italy she produced works on paper and canvas with images of the Tuscan hills and countryside. Also on display are a series of seascapes painted on linen and wood panels using fewer colors and heavy brushwork.

Claire studied Industrial Design at the Cleveland Institute of Art and Philadelphia College of Art. She is a member of the Block Island Artists Guild, Wickford Art Associaton, and Warwick Museum of Art. Also an avid art teacher, she gives classes at the gallery and in her West Warwick, RI Studio.
